The Beginning: Sourcing the Finest Cotton

Every Teevore t-shirt begins its journey in carefully selected cotton fields around the world. We partner exclusively with farms that practice sustainable agriculture, ensuring not only the highest quality cotton but also environmental responsibility. Our cotton sourcing process involves rigorous quality checks, examining fiber length, strength, and purity.

The type of cotton we choose significantly impacts the final product. We primarily work with long-staple cotton, which produces stronger, softer yarns that result in more durable and comfortable t-shirts. This premium cotton comes from regions known for their ideal growing conditions—places where climate, soil, and traditional farming expertise combine to create exceptional raw materials.

Spinning and Yarn Production

Once the cotton reaches our manufacturing partners, it undergoes a meticulous spinning process. The cotton fibers are first cleaned and carded to align them properly, then drawn and twisted into continuous yarns. This process requires precision and expertise, as the tension and twist of the yarn directly affects the feel and durability of the final fabric.

We work with mills that have perfected their spinning techniques over generations. These craftspeople understand that creating consistent, high-quality yarn is an art form. The yarns are tested multiple times during production to ensure they meet our strict standards for strength, consistency, and hand-feel.

Knitting: Creating the Perfect Fabric

The transformation from yarn to fabric happens in our partner knitting facilities. Using state-of-the-art circular knitting machines, skilled technicians create the jersey knit fabric that forms the base of our t-shirts. The knitting process determines many characteristics of the final garment—its stretch, recovery, weight, and texture.

Our specifications are precise: stitch density, fabric weight, and construction parameters are all carefully controlled. We use advanced knitting techniques that create fabrics with excellent dimensional stability, meaning your t-shirt will maintain its shape wash after wash.

Dyeing: Bringing Color to Life

Color is where personality meets craftsmanship. Our dyeing process uses reactive dyes that bond chemically with the cotton fibers, ensuring vibrant, long-lasting color that won't fade or wash out. We maintain strict color standards, using computerized color matching systems to ensure consistency across all batches.

The dyeing process also includes pre-treatment and post-treatment steps that enhance the fabric's performance. These treatments improve the fabric's ability to hold color, resist shrinking, and maintain its soft hand-feel over time.

Pattern Making and Design

Before cutting begins, our design team creates detailed patterns for each size and style. This process involves sophisticated grading systems that ensure proper fit across our entire size range. Every curve, seam line, and design element is precisely calculated to create the perfect balance of style, comfort, and fit.

Our pattern makers use advanced CAD software combined with traditional tailoring expertise. They consider factors like fabric stretch, seam placement, and wearing ease to create patterns that translate our designs into wearable reality.

Cutting and Assembly

Precision cutting ensures that every piece fits together perfectly. Our cutting facilities use computerized cutting systems that guarantee accuracy and minimize waste. Multiple layers of fabric are cut simultaneously, ensuring consistency across garments.

The assembly process brings together skilled seamstresses and modern sewing technology. Each t-shirt passes through multiple stations, where specialized workers handle specific construction steps. Quality checkpoints throughout the assembly process ensure that every detail meets our standards.

Quality Control and Finishing

Before any t-shirt leaves the facility, it undergoes comprehensive quality control checks. Inspectors examine construction quality, fit, color consistency, and finishing details. Any garment that doesn't meet our standards is rejected and recycled responsibly.

The finishing process includes final pressing, labeling, and packaging. Even these final steps are handled with care, ensuring that when you receive your Teevore t-shirt, it's in perfect condition and ready to become part of your wardrobe.

Sustainability Throughout the Process

Every step of our production process considers environmental impact. We work with facilities that minimize water usage, properly treat wastewater, and use renewable energy where possible. Our packaging is recyclable, and we continuously work to reduce waste throughout the supply chain.
